Welcome Letter from the Principal

Dear Thunderbirds,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am honored and excited to serve as Willmore’s principal and to work alongside our incredible students, staff, families, and community partners. At our school, we are deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are proud to offer unique programs that reflect our commitment to innovation and equity. Willmore’s Dual Language Immersion Program nurtures bilingualism and biliteracy, opening doors to a global future. Our Coding and AVID programs equip students with 21st-century skills, encouraging student agency, creativity, problem-solving, and digital fluency from an early age.

We know that learning goes beyond academics. That’s why we prioritize social-emotional growth, supported by our full-time school counselor who works closely with students, staff, and families. Thanks to our Community School Grant, we are able to provide expanded services, enrichment opportunities, and family engagement activities that support the whole child.

We also believe that families are essential partners in education. Through programs like School Smarts, we are empowering parents with the knowledge and tools to actively participate in their child’s academic journey and leadership at school.

Together, we are building a vibrant, supportive, and high-achieving school community. We look forward to a year of discovery, connection, and success.

Estimadas familias Thunderbirds:

¡Bienvenidos al año escolar 2025-2026! Me siento honrada y emocionada de servir como directora de la Escuela Elemental Willmore y de trabajar junto a nuestros increíbles estudiantes, personal escolar, familias y socios comunitarios. En nuestra escuela, estamos profundamente comprometidos en crear un ambiente seguro, inclusivo y enriquecedor, donde cada niño pueda desarrollarse académica, social y emocionalmente.

Estamos orgullosos de ofrecer programas únicos que reflejan nuestro compromiso con la innovación y la equidad. El Programa de Doble Inmersión de la Escuela Elemental Willmore promueve el bilingüismo y la alfabetización en dos idiomas, abriendo puertas hacia un futuro global. Nuestros Programas de Codificación y de Avance a Través de la Determinación Individual (AVID, por sus siglas en inglés) preparan a los estudiantes con habilidades del siglo XXI, fomentando la iniciativa, la creatividad, la resolución de problemas y la fluidez digital desde temprana edad.

Sabemos que el aprendizaje va más allá de lo académico. Por eso, damos prioridad al crecimiento social y emocional, respaldado por nuestra consejera escolar de tiempo completo, quien trabaja estrechamente con los estudiantes, el personal escolar y las familias. Gracias a nuestra subvención de Escuela Comunitaria, podemos ofrecer servicios ampliados, oportunidades de enriquecimiento y actividades de participación familiar que apoyan al estudiante en su totalidad.

También creemos que las familias son socios esenciales en la educación. A través de Programas como el de School Smarts, estamos empoderando a los padres con el conocimiento y las herramientas necesarias para participar activamente en la trayectoria académica y en el liderazgo escolar de sus hijos.

Juntos, estamos construyendo una comunidad escolar vibrante, solidaria y de alto rendimiento. Esperamos un año lleno de descubrimientos, conexiones y éxitos.

Chào mừng quý vị đến với năm học 2025-2026! Tôi rất vinh dự và hứng khởi được phục vụ với vai trò là hiệu trưởng của trường Willmore và được làm việc cùng với các em học sinh tuyệt vời, đội ngũ nhân viên, phụ huynh và các thành phần hợp tác trong cộng đồng. Tại trường học, chúng tôi cam kết tạo ra một môi trường an toàn, hòa nhập và phong phú, nơi mọi trẻ em đều có thể phát triển về học tập, giao tế và cảm xúc.

Chúng tôi tự hào cung cấp những chương trình chuyên biệt phản ánh cam kết của chúng tôi đối với sự đổi mới và công bằng. Chương Trình Song Ngữ của Willmore khuyến khích thúc đẩy việc biết nói song ngữ, đọc và viết hai ngôn ngữ, mở ra cánh cửa cho một tương lai trên toàn cầu. Các Chương Trình Lập Trình và AVID của chúng tôi trang bị cho học sinh những kỹ năng của thế kỷ 21, khuyến khích sự chủ động, sáng tạo, giải quyết vấn đề và thành thạo kỹ thuật số từ sớm.

Chúng tôi hiểu rằng học hỏi không chỉ giới hạn trong lãnh vực học vấn. Vì vậy, chúng tôi dành ưu tiên cho việc phát triển cảm xúc xã hội, với sự hỗ trợ của chuyên viên cố vấn học đường toàn thời gian, người làm việc chặt chẽ với học sinh, nhân viên và gia đình. Nhờ vào khoản Tài Trợ Cộng Đồng Trường Học, chúng tôi có thể cung cấp các dịch vụ mở rộng, cơ hội phát triển và các hoạt động gắn kết gia đình nhằm hỗ trợ toàn diện cho học sinh.

Chúng tôi cũng tin rằng gia đình là những thành phần hợp tác không thể thiếu trong giáo dục. Qua các chương trình như School Smarts, chúng tôi trang bị cho phụ huynh kiến thức và công cụ cần thiết để hăng hái tham gia vào hành trình học tập và vai trò lãnh đạo tại trường của con em.
