Principal's Message
Dear Willmore Families and Staff,
It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year as your principal of Willmore Language Academy. I feel privileged and honored to be a Thunderbird and serve the school and community for years to come. I look forward to continuing the traditions and work that makes Willmore a special place for all students to learn and grow socially and academically.
I have been in education for over twenty-five years. I began my career as a Middle School Counselor for Newport-Mesa School District. I then taught in a Bilingual Program at 28th Street Elementary, Los Angeles Unified School District. When I
came to the Westminster School District, I taught at Webber Elementary for 20 years implementing i4 Technology (Coding), GATE and GLAD. I also worked as a Summer Recovery Principal for Anderson Elementary and Johnson Middle School. I continued my administrative career as an Assistant Principal for Capistrano Unified School District for Kinoshita and John S. Malcolm Elementary.
I was born in Vietnam and raised in Irvine, so I am bilingual in conversational Vietnamese. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz. I have also earned two Master's Degrees in Education and Clinical Psychology
from Pepperdine University. I received my Administrative Credential from UC Irvine. However, my biggest accomplishment is being a mother and wife. I have
been married for 20 years to my husband, Ty, and we have three children. My daughter, Chloe attends UCI and my sons, Cole attends UCR, and Cade is at Marina High School in Huntington Beach.
As an experienced educator, I understand the importance of a positive school culture which is created by building strong relationships with staff, students, parents and community partners. I look forward to collaborating with all of you to
ensure the social, emotional and academic growths of ALL students at Willmore. I look forward to seeing all of you! Feel free to reach out to me at tellis@wsdk8.us.
Go Thunderbirds!
Warmly,
Tieumi “Domi” Ellis
